Dear Terry Cole (What I learned making parallel mobile and desktop UX)

Dear Terry,

Thank you for being an incredible human person, and thank you especially for your recent article, What I learned making parallel mobile and desktop UX. I have honestly never worked on a layout where users were planning on using the Salesforce mobile experience. I do have lingering memories from using the SalesforceOne app about 10 years ago and these memories are not a pretty picture. I have long wanted to incorporate the mobile experience for users, but it felt inaccessible and overwhelming. With your generous article, my whole perspective changed.

If readers read no further than the first tip (“Don’t make mobile and desktop versions”), they would still gain a huge amount of knowledge and support. I mean, that alone cuts out a whole imagined world of having to design two different experiences, which makes imagining incorporating mobile 100% more possible. As soon as I have the opportunity to incorporate mobile into the experience for my users, your article will be my first reference point for where to start and best practices.

Terry, you are already INFAMOUS to anyone who had spent any time in the nonprofit salesforce online community forum - what is/was it called? Does it exist still? I mean, you were LEGEND in there. You were my role model in there! Always sharing, always something useful to add, always generous. I am so thankful that you continue to share your insights and experiences with us via your blog.

I hope to follow in your example and to share valuable technology insights and support - and please know what an impact you have made!

Peace,
Emily
